Questions and answers
Questions, answered.
Booking, the houses, food, events and getting here: the answers our team gives most often.
Booking and prices
What is the booking process?
Send an inquiry with your dates and group size, we confirm availability and rates, we tailor the stay, and you confirm. One team handles it end to end.
Can we rent just one hacienda?
Yes. Each hacienda is rented whole, for one group. You can also combine haciendas for a larger group.
Can we rent only some of the haciendas?
Yes. Reserve two, three, or all four. A partial booking is always of adjacent haciendas, so the estate stays one connected, private space with no other group inside it. Each hacienda is rented privately.
What is the minimum number of nights for a booking?
It depends on the property and the season. Write to rentals@rivieramayahaciendas.com and we will confirm the minimum stay for your dates.
How far in advance should we book a luxury villa in Mexico?
For high season, roughly December through April, four to six months ahead. For low season, six to eight weeks. Write to rentals@rivieramayahaciendas.com for live availability.
Do you offer discounts?
Our sales team is happy to create a custom offer for you.
The haciendas and the estate
How many people can one hacienda hold?
It depends on the hacienda: Hacienda Corazón has 10 suites, Hacienda Jaguar 12, Hacienda Mágica 14 and Hacienda del Mar 15. Booked together, the four have 51 suites and sleep up to 114 guests.
Is staff included?
Yes. Every hacienda comes with a resident chef, a waiter, a bartender, housekeeping, and a concierge.
Is the estate good for a multigenerational family or a group of friends?
Yes. The haciendas sit side by side, so the group shares meals and common areas while everyone keeps a private space to return to at night.
Are your villas beachfront?
Our four haciendas (Magica, del Mar, Jaguar, and Corazon) are beachfront, one next to the other.
How is a luxury villa different from a resort suite in Mexico?
A villa is a private estate for your group, with a dedicated staff, a private pool, and at the beachfront haciendas a beautiful stretch of sand, plus the freedom to host your own gatherings. A resort suite shares amenities and staff with everyone else on the property.
Villas and condos
Do all your Puerto Aventuras villas include a private chef?
Hacienda del Mar, Magica, Jaguar, Corazon, Villa Nautica and Casa Cangrejo include full resident staff, and that includes a chef who cooks on site.
Are the condos staffed?
There is no resident staff: the condos are self-catered, with your own kitchen. You still get concierge support. Our concierge gets in touch to help you plan your stay and can book a private chef on request, for one special dinner or for the whole stay.
What is the difference between a condo and a hacienda?
A condo is self-catered and suits couples and small families. A hacienda is a private estate with a resident chef and staff, made for a larger group.
Are the condos good for a longer stay?
Yes. With a kitchen and the beach a short walk away, they work well for stays of several weeks.
Can you accommodate guests with accessibility needs?
Tell us about mobility or other accessibility requirements when you inquire, and we will confirm which estates are the best fit and what can be arranged.
Food and drink
Are meals included?
Each hacienda comes with a private chef and full staff. Meals are planned around your group's schedule and preferences, with no restaurant lines or fixed seatings. Food and drink are billed separately: your concierge sets up a meal plan with you before you arrive.
Do you offer grocery shopping?
Yes! Reach out to our concierge team to see available services and fees.
Weddings and events
Can we rent the Hacienda for an event as a venue?
Our haciendas are vacation rental villas—we’re happy to help you plan your event with a minimum stay of 3 nights, but they can’t be used for single-day venue rentals only.
Can we have a beachfront ceremony?
Yes! Beachfront ceremonies are available at our four haciendas.
Are wedding planners included?
To bring your vision to life, a professional planner is required. Our team partners with your wedding planner every step of the way to make sure your celebration flows beautifully.
Do you provide in-house catering and bar service?
We welcome the catering team of your choice and work closely with them to coordinate menus and logistics, ensuring everything is seamless.
How do I book a site visit?
Contact us to schedule a private tour or virtual walk-through.
Can we host a private event or group dinner at the villa?
Yes. Because you have the whole estate, private dinners and group gatherings are part of what the space is for, and the concierge can help arrange catering, setup, and staffing. Tell us what you have in mind when you inquire. Keep in mind that there’s an event fee for special events with external guests
Is meeting space included?
Yes. Terraces, courtyards, and indoor lounges are set up for your sessions. Wifi is included; AV equipment is coordinated and quoted in advance. Hacienda Jaguar and Hacienda del Mar also each have a games room that becomes a meeting room with a large screen: up to 80 theatre-style or 70 at boardroom tables at Jaguar, up to 75 or 60 at Del Mar.
Getting here
Where are the haciendas?
Riviera Maya Haciendas' four haciendas are in Puerto Aventuras, a gated marina community on the Riviera Maya coast, about 1 hour from Cancun airport.
How far is Puerto Aventuras from Cancun International Airport?
About one hour by car. We arrange private transfers as part of the concierge service when you book at an additional cost.
Can you arrange transportation from Cancun Airport?
Yes. Airport transfers are part of the concierge service at an additional cost.
Is Cancun and Riviera Maya the same thing?
What is the best month to go to Riviera Maya?
November to April is the most popular, with pleasant, dry weather. But even the wet season is beautiful, with lush scenery and fewer crowds.
Is Puerto Aventuras safe for families and travelers?
Yes. It is a gated marina community with controlled access and on-site security, which is one reason it is popular for multigenerational family stays.
During your stay
Can you arrange activities and airport transfers?
Yes, through your dedicated concierge, from airport transfers to cenote tours, water sports, and private dinners.
How can I get a taxi or transportation if I want to go by myself, visiting around?
Your concierge can help you request a taxi or book private transportation wherever you’d like to go.
Can I invite someone from outside, staying in another property?
Contact your concierge to see if your property allows day-pass guests and if any additional fees apply.
Are credit cards widely accepted?
Yes! In Quintana Roo, most restaurants, shops, and activities accept cards. It’s smart to carry some cash for small local vendors.
What can we do in Puerto Aventuras?
Puerto Aventuras has calm beaches and a marina with sport fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and sailing, plus a golf course. Bars and restaurants are nearby, and you can walk or bike to most of what the town offers. Our Puerto Aventuras guide has more.
What is close to Puerto Aventuras?
Cenotes and reef snorkeling are close by. Day trips reach Akumal, the Xcaret park, and Mayan sites such as the Tulum archaeological zone and Chichen Itza.
