Our story
A family home first.
Hacienda Del Mar was never meant to be rented.
In the early 2000s, Nicolas Boulay, a French investment banker who spent his career in New York and Latin America, much of it on the region’s energy and mining deals, and his wife, Stéphanie, built it on this beach for their own family, and lived in it.
Building a hacienda rather than a villa was her idea: thick walls, open courtyards, rooms that bring a family together. She was there at every stage, from the drawings to the furniture.
In 2009 they opened the doors to guests and built Hacienda Corazón next door, then took on Hacienda Mágica and, in 2023, Hacienda Jaguar. The family still owns and runs all four.
The four haciendas
Side by side on the same beach.
South to north along the beach, as you see them from the sea.

Who has stayed
Over the years the haciendas have welcomed Grammy winners and film stars, NBA and NFL players, political leaders, the chief executives of some of America’s largest companies, and families who could stay anywhere.
You won’t find their names here. That is why they come back.
